St Neots & District Voluntary Welfare Association is a registered charity
(no. 253740) which has been in existence for well over 40 years. It is served by a dedicated group of trustees, other committee members and staff who care about the elderly community of our town and its surrounding villages.
The VWA runs St Neots Day Centre and Lunch Club, which are housed in an historic former school room situated in Church Walk in St Neots town centre.
The building known as St Neots Community Centre is available for hire on a regular or one-off basis, when not in use for it's main purpose.
The purpose of our Day Centre is to help those who may be frail and elderly to maintain their independence and get the most out of life.
It's somewhere that provides the opportunity to meet others socially, to engage in activities, enjoy refreshments and a good lunch.
Our dedicated staff provide a caring, safe environment for those with physical disabilities and/or memory issues but we also welcome people who simply need to get out of the house and enjoy some company and a bit of fun.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 10 am to 3 pm
We aim to:
What we have to offer:
"I love coming here. It’s so friendly. Everyone is lovely and we laugh a lot."
"I come alive when I come here."
"Even though I don’t actually live on my own, I still love coming here and we always have a laugh."
"Everyone is friendly and genuinely kind and happy."
"Very friendly. I fitted in straight away and I don’t usually mix well."
"Everyone has a different story to tell."
"The dinners are always lovely."
"We always have a laugh."
Thursday is the day for our Lunch Club.
